Werner Ahari Mangel LLP is pleased to welcome Debbie Kim and James Talbert as senior associates with the law firm. The firm, which celebrated its second anniversary May 1, has grown substantially since its launch, adding five new attorneys in the past year, bolstering its nationwide insurance coverage practice.

Debbie represents insurers in coverage disputes arising under general liability, professional liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. Her experience includes litigating bad faith, fraud, reimbursement, declaratory relief, and subrogation claims from pre-litigation through appeal. She also advises on coverage issues related to claims handling and defense and indemnity obligations. Debbie is admitted in California. She earned her J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law and her B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles.

James concentrates his practice on insurance matters involving management and professional liability policies. He serves as coverage and monitoring counsel for both primary and excess insurers and handles a range of coverage disputes, including those stemming from securities class actions, derivative actions, bankruptcy-related litigation, and other professional liability exposures. James also assists insurers with policy drafting and regulatory matters, including licensure issues and product regulation. He is admitted to practice in Ohio. James earned his J.D. and B.A. from The Ohio State University.
