Justin Levy represents insurers in professional liability coverage matters, including directors and officers, errors and omissions, and financial services. His practice also focuses on coverage disputes involving fidelity bonds and cyber, privacy, and media liability issues.

Justin has handled coverage disputes involving first-party losses arising out of dishonest acts and cyber attacks and third-party disputes arising out of violations of privacy and consumer protection statutes.

  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of D&O liability insurer and successfully defended appeal in dispute arising out of government investigation involving opioid products.
  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of D&O liability insurer and which was affirmed on appeal in dispute arising out of mass layoffs.
  • Obtained summary disposition in favor of reps and warranties insurer in dispute arising out of corporate acquisition.
  • Successfully defended cyber and media liability insurer in pre-suit dispute arising out of government investigation and consumer class actions regarding technology product and advertising.
  • Successfully prosecuted reimbursement claim on behalf of D&O liability insurer in dispute arising out of government investigation and litigation regarding management of investment funds.
  • Advised media and privacy liability insurers in connection with class actions brought under federal and state privacy acts, including the Biometric Information Privacy Act, the Video Privacy Protection Act, and the California Information Privacy Act.
  • Advised cyber liability insurers in connection with cyber extortion and business interruption claims.
