Leading Insurance Coverage Boutique Law Firm Celebrates One Year of Client Service and Success
Insurance coverage law firm Werner Ahari Mangel LLP (WAM) is pleased to celebrate its one-year anniversary.
WAM experienced many milestones in its first year, including recognition by Chambers and Partners as “leading lawyers for insurers,” the election of an additional firm partner as a fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel, addition of eight new hires, sponsorship of two major industry conferences, relocation of its Washington, D.C. headquarters, launch of a new website, and most importantly, celebration of many client successes—including a Third Circuit Court of Appeals victory in one of the firm’s longest-running coverage litigation disputes.
“In the firm’s first year of operations, our greatest success has been the fortune of working with such talented, supportive insurance professionals.” said Meredith Werner, a founding partner of the firm. “We are so grateful for our clients, many of whom have relationships with us that go back decades. We are honored to work with some of the best insurers and people in the industry and look forward to many more years of continued success and collaboration.”
The firm takes great pride in its deeply rooted relationships with some of the most prominent insurers in the industry. Its longstanding client relationships are reflective of a commitment to delivering top-tier results and working seamlessly with clients as an integrated team.
WAM was launched May 1, 2023, by leading insurance coverage lawyers Meredith Werner, Leslie Ahari, and Douglas Mangel, and included six additional founding partners, Joseph Bailey, Cary Economou, Alan Joaquin, Nena Mashaw, Gabriela Richeimer, and Stacey Rufe.
Built on a foundation of trust, innovation, and dedication to excellence, the firm has grown in its first year to comprise 25 attorneys and 12 staff members. As a majority women-owned law firm, WAM is proud of its commitment to fostering an inclusive culture that embraces diversity and values teamwork and mutual respect. Based in Washington, D.C., the firm maintains a flexible and remote workplace, better positioning it to serve clients across jurisdictions and maintain work-life balance and wellbeing.
The firm continues to represent insurance companies nationwide in complex, high-importance, and high-exposure insurance coverage matters, counseling clients in a wide variety of claims monitoring and coverage matters related to D&O liability, financial institutions professional liability, employment liability, cyber liability, fidelity bond, private equity, and reps and warranties insurance policies.
